Slater’s 50/50, known for their over-the-top signature burgers, is making its Dallas debut on Lower Greenville, this location is the brand’s first franchise and the first location outside of Southern California.
Partner and franchisee, Dave Coussirat, first experienced Slater’s 50/50 during a trip to San Diego and knew he had to bring the concept to his hometown of Dallas. “It was love at first bite for my family,” said Coussirat. “With so many creative burgers, bacon flavors and craft beers, Slater’s 50/50 was an obvious fit for the Lone Star State. We’re excited to make it part of Texas”.
Leading the menu is The Original 50/50, their award-winning burger featuring a patty made of made of 50% ground beef and 50% bacon. Other burger items on the menu include Peanut Butter and Jellousy Burger – made with 100% beef, bacon and PB&J, served with ice cream and the Nacho Burger – made with carne asada fire beef, cheese sauce, cheddar cheese, black beans, bacon, tortilla strips, fresh salsa, guacamole, wrapped in a flour tortilla & deep-fried.
With a passion for good food and craft beer, and a disdain for the boring, Scott Slater founded Slater’s 50/50 with a goal of delivering the highest quality ingredients and top-notch service in a relaxed and fun environment. “Making the decision to expand to Dallas for the first franchise was a no-brainer,” stated Slater. “Bacon, burgers and Texas go hand-in-hand, and we are excited to serve the best burgers in town”.
If burgers are not your flavor, Slater’s 50/50 offers share-able dishes like Fried Bacon Mac ‘n Cheese Balls, Carne Asada Fries, and Dr. Pepper Glazed Wings. And for those wondering, yes, there are salads on the menu as well!
The Dallas location will have an exciting cocktail menu and will offer 50 craft draft beers, many of then local.
As you can tell, the menu is bacon heavy, including bacon cocktails, bacon ketchup, and a bacon brownie. If bacon is not something you enjoy, read the menu carefully and ask your server questions to insure you have the best dining experience possible. Slater’s 50/50 uses fresh ingredients and all patties contain premium hormones free, antibiotics free beef. So I am positive even the non-bacon eater can find something on the menu to enjoy.
Slater’s 50/50 is open now at 2817 Greenville Ave, Dallas. The restaurant will feature three levels with a bar on each floor and a rooftop patio.
