Pro Secrets for Beautiful, Healthy Hair

Don’t settle for just a few good hair days this spring. Prep tresses to look gorgeous all season long.

As we shift to a warmer time of the year, opt for a regimen that breathes life into limp, dehydrated hair, that includes products that boost the overall hair health, shine, and manageability.

Recently  I spoke with three talented hair stylists and colorists from New York City’s famed Antonio Prieto Salon, to learn their top product picks to help rebound hair this spring.

Brenna Fletcher, Senior Stylist:

We switch out our winter wardrobes with softer, lighter, more romantic silhouettes.

Going into spring my must have product is Kerastase V.I.P. (Volume in Powder) spray. V.I.P. spray creates the same effect for your hair. Soft touchable volume that will withstand a spring shower. You can layer this spray on hair to create a back-combed effect for amazing lift without damage.

Mia Loughnane, Stylist:

As the seasons start to change, so does our hair. For those that color their hair and especially highlight, the winter can be damaging, making hair dry and dull. To get clients ready for spring I like to use the Shu Uemura Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Double Serum.

Make sure you shake this serum very well and apply it from mid-shaft to the ends for instant hydration and unbelievable shine. It’s great for highlighted hair that may be in need of repair and works well as a detangler.

Lawrence Wesley, Principal Colorist:

Keep your hair and scalp hydrated.

I love the Aura Botanica Concentre Essentiel for dry hair and scalp. The avocado and jojoba oils in it are intense natural moisturizers. For an effortless deep hydration treatment, apply a few pumps before hitting the beach.
