On November 7, 2015, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group Inc will be hosting the Second Annual Del Frisco’s Run With the Troops 5K. The proceeds will go towards the non-profit organization, Operation in A Lifetime. In this fun-filled event, community members and participants will either run or walk with past and current military members in Bicentennial Park. Each participant will be able to choose which military branch they would like support during their run/walk. Trophies will be rewarded for the top male and female finishers in each age group. Having proven such success during this event last year, Del Frisco will be featuring a raffle drawing for a 1969 Chevy Camaro, showcasing an original motor! There are limited raffle tickets priced at $20, so get yours quick!

Sherry Joseph Trevino, Director of National Sales Del Frisco, stated, “Del Frisco’s is thrilled to once again show our support for our nation’s service members and Operation Once in a Lifetime.” “Not only does this special event allow our six Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants to collaborate, but it enables the entire community to draw together in a fun and interactive way for a great cause.”

Operation Once in a Lifetime was founded by a former soldier, Patrick M. Sowers. Patrick has dedicated his life to making the dreams of US. soldiers and their families come true by providing the financial resources and morale to U.S. service members from every branch of the military, our veterans and their families. The organization has assisted for families to make trips to Disney World, helping with additional educations, and other once in a lifetime wishes.

Last year Del Frisco has over 700 participants sign up, this year they want more! Grab your family, your friends and your tennis shoes to help with this wonderful cause! What better way to thank a member of our military for their sacrifice?
