It’s hard to believe that I started this blog one year ago today.  Usually at this time, a person would recount the positives & negatives they have experienced along the way but I want to focus on the journey as a whole vs the simple parts.

Pop Goes The City started with the purpose of showing Dallas & Collin counties from my perspective…where I eat, where I shop, where I play…all in effort to show others what these area have to offer.  Reception was great and the blog evolved into an avenue to build amazing relationships with people who have contributed their perspective to the blog, area businesses, organizations and fellow citizens…aka the unexpected benefit.

Through Pop Goes The City, I gained access to events in the metroplex bloggers never had access to before & had the pleasure of interviewing some of the biggest movers and shakers in North Texas…& even a New York Mob Wife, Carla Facciolo.   As I move into the next year, I am excited about the possibilities & things to come.  Expect more interviews in the future.  Plans are in the works to interview some really exciting people & I can’t wait to share their stories with you.  Now…on to year two!
