Ten for 10: Water for Africa has organized what will be a fantastic food event to raise money for and awareness of the urgent need for clean drinking water in Africa.  Food trucks are rallying for a cause at the upcoming Food Truck Smackdown.  Food trucks will “compete in a smackdown for the titles of Best Food, Best Concept and Best Overall…”, sounds nice huh?!

Here is a brief list of contenders (there will be many more at the event):

• Nammi Truck
• So-Cal Tacos
• Gennarino’s
• Enticed Shaved Ice

The event will take place October 21st at Sunset Lounge on Ross Avenue in Dallas beginning at 7:30pm with proceeds benefiting Ten for 10’s efforts to provide clean drinking water in Africa.

Tickets are available at $75 for general admission or $125 for VIP.

General admission includes:

• Sampling of all trucks
• Three drink tickets
• Vote for best overall food truck

VIP tickets include (in addition to general admission perks):

• Access to an exclusive pre-event happy hour
• Five drink tickets
• Schwag bag

There will also be live entertainment by The Duo of Domino Effect, cold beer from Stone Brewing Co. and a silent auction.

Pop Goes The City will be on the scene at this event and we are super excited about what’s on tap for the evening.
