Breaking Beauty News: The Makeup Show has announced a new Texas location…and I was not ready for this.

Before the 2017 Dallas edition of The Makeup Show, their Director of Artistry & Education, James Vincent, joined me on the Pop Goes the City podcast to talk about fall beauty trends, The Makeup Show, and how The Makeup Show is supporting makeup artists affected by Hurricane Harvey. In a nutshell, James had me nearly in tears. During our conversation it became clear to me that the makeup artists in the Houston area were truly in need of specialized support efforts to help them restart their businesses.

As a result, The Makeup Show has chosen to move its Dallas show to Houston in 2019, in order to support the up-and-coming makeup hub after the Hurricane Harvey destruction.

I must say that I was shocked by this decision, and that am sad to see this amazing show move from our metroplex. But I completely support this!

“The Makeup Show chose to move from Dallas to Houston not only because of the city’s culture, creativity, character, and overwhelming request from local artists, but to help the city from the still prevalent aftermath of Hurricane Harvey,” said Shelly Taggar, Owner of The Makeup Show, in a public statement.
