Malibu Poke, a fast-casual poke concept from Jon Alexis (owner, TJ’s Seafood Market & Grill) along with partners Ben and Eric Kusin, is set to open at Turtle Creek Village (3888 Oak Lawn Avenue, Suite 102) on Tuesday, November 28.

The menu, created by Chef Matt McCallister, is a combination of classic poke offerings along with some unique and bold flavors such as smoked bonito aioli, Japanese sancho pepper, asian pear, and more.

Diners can expect TJ’s-quality seafood, scratch sauces, and farm-fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs, which will be sourced from local farms whenever possible. A build-your-own bowl option to mix and match all of the unique ingredients from the signature bowls will also be available. “Even though Malibu is a quick serve concept, we will offer expertly sourced and handled fresh seafood,” says Alexis, “and we will utilize cutting edge self-ordering technology to minimize lines and deliver the freshest bowls.”

Malibu Poke will feature a unique tech-based ordering system minimizing wait time, educating guests on unique ingredients, and making customized bowls easy. Self-serve kiosks even allow guests to choose facial recognition features that “remember” their order history. For guests that prefer a human touch, a Malibu “Poke-Pro” will always be on-hand to guide guests through the ordering process.

The new concept will also emphasize healthy eating with 100% gluten-free, vegan options alongside a beverage program including lots of rose (still, sparkling & frozen “frose”), craft beers, wine on tap, sake, kombucha, teas and fresh juices.

Malibu Poke will be open Sunday-Thursday 11am to 9pm and Friday and Saturday 11am to 10 pm.
