“Sin of a Woman” by Kimberla Lawson Roby: Book Review

I received an Advanced Reading Copy of this book for review from Grand Central Publishing. The opinions shared below are my own.

Sin of a Woman,” the new 14th novel in the Curtis Black series by New York Times Bestselling Author Kimberla Lawson Roby, examines truth, lies, greed, and temptation.

An unlikely duo – Raven Jones Black and Porsha Harrington – are now the co-Pastors of the New Vision Christian Center. Porsha gave Raven the seed money to begin the ministry and for a long while, they tout their association as a true friendship. It doesn’t take long for this friendship to begin to unravel. And when it does, old habits become new again, and the destruction of innocent people takes center stage.

As always, Roby is able to really focus the story, developing a plotline that is easy to follow and is interesting. Roby is so skilled at creating characters that readers can relate to on some level, giving them life, and making the anger, frustration, and hurt that they feel very realistic. Overall, this is a fantastic read.
