The top emerging hair trends in 2017 definitely play a nod to chic, polished updos with a twist. While last year was all about long, wavy, sexy hair, in 2017 we’ll be seeing much more structure, this is a year for artsy hair with a touch of playfulness.

Here are Neil’s top 4 hair trends for 2017.

Trend 1: WET LOOK

This look is making a big splash (pun intended) amongst celebrities and on runways. The long, straight, super sleek, center-parted look (whip out your straightening irons) or the ultra-long extensions, the “wet” shiny look is sure going to be trending this year. As see on: Millie Bobby Brown, Jessica Chastain, Anna Chlumsky, Amy Adams.

Trend 2: BRAIDS

So versatile and there’s something for every hair type and length. The style options are so immense and can look both sophisticated and casual chic. Last night some of our favourite fashion girls rocked the look, from Olivia Culpo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lily Collins, to Issa Rae.

Trend 3: HAIR ACCESSORIES

Adding some bling to your hair for any event automatically takes if from pretty to FAB! Here too are so many options plus can be used on all hair types/lengths. Check out how these lovely ladies were right on trend with this one: Maisie Williams, Janelle Monáe.

Trend 4: PONY TAILS or BUNS

Another versatile style for 2017, with so many variations and a fantastic option if you’re too busy to wash and style your hair (you didn’t hear this from me) but admit it, we’re all too busy to wash out tresses every night!
