Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen, known for their amazing appetizer that carries the same name, opens their second location in the former home of the Dixie House (6400 Gaston Avenue) in the Lakewood Shopping Center on Monday, October 3rd.
From Restaurateur Johnny Carros, COO of Corner Station Holdings – the parent company that owns both Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen and Butcher Board:
Lakewood could not be a better perfect fit for us. We hope to be a neighborhood dining and gathering destination just like our first one – off the square in McKinney.
Chef Andrea Maricich (previously of The Second Floor) will act as Lakewood’s Executive Chef, serving the same lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menus as McKinney, minus a specials board that will change often.
The Lakewood location will be open Monday through Thursday, 11am – 10pm; Friday and Saturday, 11am – 11pm. I hope you stop in for the Sugarbacon, stay for the Caramelized Sea Scallops, and fall in love with the Bee Sting.
About Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen
Opened originally in the summer of 2015 with McKinney as its first location, everything on the menu is fresh, direct and approachable. Local craft beers, seasonal cocktails and a global wine list will round out the bar experience.
