Today I received a disturbing personal message telling me that the craft beer bar World of Beer, has closed the Plano location, with very short notice.

If my memory serves me well, this is the second North Texas WOB location in two years to close. The location near SMU closed in 2015.

With that said, I have made a quick (not exhaustive) list of popular places in Plano that have a great selection of craft beers. Their inventory may not be on the WOB level, but at the end of the day, there is a reason the place is called World of Beer.

If you want to know if the places on the list below have the beer you like to drink, go to the brewery’s website. Many of the breweries will have a search option to help you locate their beers in your neighborhood.
