Veritas Wine Room, nestled in the historic Vickery Place section of East Dallas, is a popular neighborhood haunt for many living and working in the area. (I actually introduced you to Veritas back 2011. But an update is always ok!).
Brothers Brooks and Bradley Anderson opened the cozy, casual VinoPub in 2008. Since then, they have amassed a loyal following who pop in to shop nearly 400 labels or to savor wines from a curated, rotating menu of over 30 by-the-glass selections, and more than 20 craft beers.
Grab a seat at the bar or on a couch to enjoy conversations and an ever-changing selection of tunes. The ample patio attracts those who want to sip and chat while enjoying the weather.
Make a full night of it with friends and neighbors. Select a charcuterie plate and nosh on fine meats, cheeses, fruit, olives, nuts and chocolates – many of which are locally or state-sourced – or bring in takeout from one of the neighboring restaurants.
Stop by if you are having a case of the Mondays. Monday is half-priced glass night on most of their by-the-glass wine selections.
I love wine and I love finding hidden gems in our city. Check out Veritas and let me know what you think.
