In Review: Hope’s Door Reach of the Stars, Celebrate Hope Gala

Against the inspiring backdrop of artifacts of aviation at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field, Hope’s Door celebrated 25 years of providing hope and safety to victims of domestic violence in Collin County.  Lisa Hornbrook served as honorary chair of the Reach of the Stars, Celebrate Hope Gala in tribute to her friend Susan Loper, a Gleneagles fitness instructor who was murdered last April.

The event marked the beginning of a 12 month-long celebration and invited guests to celebrate the powerful stories of survivors and support Hope’s Door in their continued effort to provide shelter, transitional housing and counseling to victims.  The evening featured an silent auction that include beautiful hand painted pieces of artwork from those touched by family violence, light bites from various local vendors, a live auction and entertainment by Plush.

Everyone came out dressed to the nines for the event.  The evening was truly an uplifting celebration of life and it was a pleasure to attend.
