The first time I ever experienced Il Cane Rosso wood oven pizza, I was at Veritas Wine Room on Henderson in Dallas.
I was a little reluctant to order because I thought “oh, this is just pizza”. But when my wine server explained the authentic ingredients and process by which Il Cane Rosso make their pizza, I couldn’t resist.

I ordered the Ella – Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and hot soppressata.
This was the best pizza I’ve ever eaten… The cheese is gooey, the tomatoes are flavorful and the hot soppressata…oh my…
Stop by Veritas Wine Room located at 2323 Henderson in Ste 103 to check out this delicious pizza any Tuesday night from 6p-9p. You can also go by the Il Cane Rosso restaurant located at 2612 Commerce Street. They are open from lunch Tuesday-Saturday 11a-3p and dinner Thursday-Saturday 5p-11p. Make a reservation if your party consists of 6 or more people.
