This expertly curated, upscale event will feature local makers/artisans, interactive how-to, and book signings.
Flea Style is back, kicking off the fall season with a curated pop-up featuring 220 vendors. And this year, it’s occupying a new 60,000 square foot space at Dallas Market Center.
Known for its home decor, fashion accessories and florals, it’s the perfect spot to showcase all that Flea Style has to offer – plus, parking is free!
The makers and artisans invited to participate will feature a variety of unique lifestyle items across art, fashion, decor, lighting, textiles, handbags, food, pet gear, paper goods, kids’ items and more. Participating vendors hail from all over Texas, with a focus on local small businesses.
With the holidays right around the corner, Flea Style is your one-stop shop for securing gifts for everyone on your list. And between browsing all of the booths, attendees are invited to explore an interactive area with a DIY paper and fresh floral crown workshop led by Kate McLeod who will also hawk her popular seasonal wreaths and greenery. To keep everyone extra-entertained, there will also be live music, as well as beer, wine and craft cocktails.
New this year will be a focus on storytelling, both as a means to highlight the compelling stories behind many of the featured vendors and also to complement the concurrent Half Price Books Clearance Sale happening next door inside Dallas Market Hall. A video will run the entire show featuring vendor stories and interviews and there will be a special author area will feature book signings with Alli Koch (How to Draw Modern Florals), Merle Rosenbloom (Starting from Scratch: Cooking & Entertaining Made Simple), Sarah Penrod (Urban Cowgirl: Decadently Southern, Outrageously Texan, Food, Family Traditions, and Style for Modern Life), and Tony Bridwell, the author of multiple books. To keep the kiddos entertained, there will also be a kids reading corner featuring children’s books, coloring, florals and DIY designer bookmarks.
Flea Style was founded in 2009 by lifestyle editor Brittany Cobb, who utilized her keen eye and local relationships to feature products from the best artisans in Texas. Eight years later, the Southwest’s preeminent pop-up has more than doubled in size, and continues to offer shoppers an impressive selection of handmade, vintage and one-of-a-kind goods. Last year also welcomed the launch of Flea Style Summit which will take place for the third time September 23rd in Dallas. These one-day events aim to inspire creative thinkers and tastemakers with interesting panels, intimate group discussions, educational workshops, interactive activities and more.
“It’s incredible to think how far we’ve come, from a one-time holiday shopping pop-up to twice-yearly shows spanning multiple cities,” said Cobb. “Our new home at Dallas Market Center is perfectly aligned to feature even more amazing craftspeople and unique products, and we can’t wait to show local shoppers what’s in store. We’re constantly amazed at the talent on display all over our city, and it is truly an honor to bring together so much of that talent and showcase it under one roof.”
