Brow guru to the stars, Damone Roberts, teamed up with M·A·C Cosmetics to launch “Brows Are It“, a collection of pencils, powders and gel-like pomades to get and keep eyebrows in check.
Amazing brows will remain tops for spring. Recently, I had a quick Q & A session with the highly sought after brow artist behind the arches of Beyoncé, Taraji P. Henson, Channing Tatum and many other A-listers.
Here, get the details on his role with the collection, his brow philosophy, and how we can keep our brows looking fly between waxes.
Q: Tell me about your involvement the new M·A·C Cosmetics “Brows Are It” campaign.
A: M·A·C recognized my senior status in the World of Brows and approached me to worked closely and consult with the M·A·C development team to create their “Brows Are It” collection, as well as to be the expert and face behind the line.
Q: What is your brow philosophy?
A: Every face deserves the perfect frame. Brows are different for everyone. If you have a round face, you want a higher arch to add more length, if you have a long face, you want a straighter brow to shorten the features.
There is no one rule for everyone. Generally speaking, people are now realizing fuller brows are much softer and appealing than thin brows, but the shaping depends on your facial structure.
Q: How can we keep our brows looking their best between waxing appointments?
A: An expert is recommended for your first sculpting, to maintain in between, you must follow the [brow] structure with the appropriate tools. Damone Roberts Tweezers are the best because they pull the hair at the root, without breakage.
